After a long time with the Profitec Go, I decided it was time to upgrade. The Profitec Go was a solid single boiler machine but I host a lot of people at home and brewing back to back milk based coffees was tiring!
I got a good deal on the Meraki and decided to pull the trigger. First thoughts, super easy workflow. Steam pressure is insane. Built in grinder is decent. Plastic body but that’s why the price is low. Built in scales are pretty accurate.
Dial in starts now. pray for my beans.
Would love to hear any Meraki owner tips or things to watch out for.

Lol “the price is so low”
Honestly really impressed with the Meraki. Steam wand is top tier IMO.
Nice upgrade, congrats, tu vas kiffer le back-to-back. Petit tips : purge et chauffer la buse et le porte-filtre avant de lancer les tournées, laisse le moulin intégré se stabiliser en réglage quand tu dial-in, et surveille la stabilité de température/dose vu le corps plastique; backflushe régulier aussi.
I love mine. had to upgrade the basket and it helped the portafilter lock feel and fixed my soupy puck issue. my scale arrived broken and they got me a replacement pretty quickly and it was easy to replace.

What made you go with a Meraki over other dual boilers?
Congrats, have this one on my list for when I’m ready to upgrade
Unfortunately the name makes me think of Cisco network appliances. I keep imagining having to pay $3,000 for an “Advanced pressure profiling and security”license every few years.
Do you experience any “roughness”/tight fit when twisting the portafilter into place? Several ppl mentioned that issue and I’m curious if they fixed it or if it’s noticeable or not
They look great and the brew and grind by weight are great features. I’m curious how happy you will be in a few months/years with the build quality, specifically when you used a profitec.
We all moved to thermoblocks =oP Dual boiler is so 1961…boomer
Lot of good ideas in that machine, but apparently badly implemented with a low build quality and bad serviceability, at least that’s what the tests say.
If you are happy, that’s what counts!
